Instructions for Care

All artwork from Bronze Bull Art is framed using high quality acrylic glazing that has a UV filter to reduce fading. The glazing blocks 99% of UV rays, which is conservation grade and the best protection available.

However, even with the highest UV protection you should avoid hanging any art you cherish in direct sunlight or near bright light. Conservationists recommend hanging art in low light which is defined as a hallway or a room with light filtering drapes.

Use a dry soft cloth to clean the glazing, never use a paper towel as that could scratch the surface. If a damp cloth is required, use a plastic cleaner as opposed to a glass cleaner.

Why acrylic is a better choice than glass for the glazing:

  • Better at blocking UV rays which can fade your artwork
  • Has a clearer transparency than glass (which can give a green or orange tint to artwork) resulting in a color truer to its uncovered appearance when viewing
  • Lighter weight so easier to hang
  • It’s safer should it ever break
